SOS Jakarta is Officially On the Run!
DENPASAR, NETIZENBALI.com - Scholars of Sustenance (SOS) Indonesia is excited to announce the opening of their new branch in Jakarta, Indonesia. The office, located at Jalan Benda Raya No. 14A, RT4/RW4, Cilandak, Ps. Minggu, South Jakarta, will operate the same as SOS Bali––to pick up good quality surplus food and redistribute it to the underpriviledged around Jakarta, and also on disaster relief efforts.
Since its establishment, Scholars of Sustenance has been dedicated to creating food equity in society, believing that everyone regardless of status and income should have access to nutritious food. This expansion is essential towards achieving this goal, as it will allow them to expand its reach and help even more people.
The opening of the new branch in Jakarta is a significant milestone for SOS.
The organization has been operating in Bali since 2016, and this expansion shows its commitment to the cause. SOS has already made a significant impact in Bali, and the team is confident that they will be able to replicate that success in Jakarta.
“We are thrilled to be opening a new branch in Jakarta. Our team is passionate about creating food equity in society, and this expansion will allow us to help even more people,” said Bo H. Holmgreen, Founder of SOS.
“We believe that nutritious food is a fundamental right, and we are committed to doing everything we can to make it available to everyone.”
Scholars of Sustenance is the biggest surplus food rescue in South East Asia, and operates in three countries already, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Phillipines. They collect surplus food from hotels, restaurants, retailers and manufacturers, then distribute it to those in need.
The organization has a team of dedicated staff who work tirelessly to ensure that the food is of high quality and reaches the people who need it the most.
With the opening of the new branch in Jakarta, SOS Indonesia is looking to build partnerships with local businesses. The organization believes that collaboration is key to achieve its noble mission, and is looking forward to working with the community in Jakarta. (NB/*)
