Ojol AirAsia is paving in Bali by November

DENPASAR, NETIZENBALI.com - Online mototaxi (ojol) services in Indonesia will increase. AirAsia tour Ride-hailing services from Malaysia will enter the Indonesian market starting in November.

Capital A-owned online transport services company will enter the Indonesian market from the Bali area by November.

According to Tony Fernandez, CEO of Capital A, AirAsia’s online motorcycle taxi service now covers several major cities in Malaysia. To date, more than 2 million trips have been completed by 53,000 drivers. It will also expand its services to several countries, Indonesia being one of them.

“The speed to market is second to us, but we don’t want to build everything ourselves. We may collaborate or look for inorganic opportunities where we can find the right technology and expertise,” said Fernandez. 9/2022.

In addition to Indonesia, the company is preparing to expand to Singapore as well, where the company is in the process of obtaining a license to operate a ride-hailing service on the city’s island.

AirAsia Ride is also looking to the Philippines as the next market expansion. Hence, they also want to expand the online motorcycle taxi market to several other major Malaysian cities, starting with Kuching, Sarawak and other East Malaysian cities. The same market expansion of AirAsia Ride was previously carried out in Thailand.

At first, AirAsia was just an airline from Malaysia. However, the company is now expanding into various other businesses. The main goal now is to create superapps by developing activities in various lines, from mototaxis and online taxis, to the delivery of goods and food.

The parent company has also changed its name to CapitalA some time ago. Despite having a new focus on business, AirAsia’s airline business is still active and under development.

Prior to bringing AirAsia Ride to Indonesia in March, CapitalA had already launched the AirAsia Food service. It is a food delivery service developed by AirAsia, in the early stages of the food delivery service which operates only in Tangerang Raya. (NB/ world today news)
