Bali and Beyond Travel Fair in Final Count Down to Opening on June 22, 2016

Denpasar, Baliterkini.com - The chairman of the Bali and Beyond Travel Fair 2016 (BBTF-2016), I Ketut Ardana, has announced that the Indonesian destination of Tana Toraja in South Sulawesi will be an “honored destination” at this year's BBTF to take place June 22-26, 2016 at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC).

In 2015, BBTF showcased 176 tourism operators, a number targeted to increase to 225 in 2016. Represented will be Indonesia hotels, tour companies, tourism attractions, government tourism promotion bodies and transportation providers.

The organizers advise that more than 300 buyers from 42 countries have registered, with more registrations expected in the final month before the event.”

Quoted by the State News Agency Antara, Ardana said, “Preparations for the Bali and Beyond Travel Fair are now 80% complete.”

The Indonesian Minister of Tourism, Arief Yahya, is targeting for the BBTF-2016 to generate Rp. 9.3 trillion in tourism transactions, an increase of 43% from the Rp. 5.2 trillion achieved in 2015.

BBTF-2016 has embraced the theme of "Where the World Comes to Meet."

The Bali travel fair will focus on three travel sectors” Leisure, MICE (Meeting Incentive, Conference and Exhibition) and special interest travel. Included in the category of special interest travel are: weddings, anniversaries, spa and wellness, sports and adventure, healing and medical tourism, event organizers, tour operators, religious tourism and halal tourism.
