Government Plans To Open Direct Flight Between India and Bali
NetizenBali.com, Denpasar - Indonesian Tourism Minister, Sandiaga Uno is planning to operate a direct flight between Bali and India when the international travel corridor reopens. The plan aims to increase bilateral relations between the two countries.
Sandiaga said that the plan to open the direct flight between India and Bali will be realized in near future.
“We have discussed this plan with the Indian Embassy for Bali, and it’s already at the final stage of preparation, including to open the possibility for investment and trading between the two countries,” said Sandiaga on Wednesday (17/3).
“Tourism and investment are still within our corridor, so we hope there will be an increase to our bilateral relationship as well as reviving Bali economy from the crisis” Sandiaga added during the meeting that was attended by the Indian Consulate General for Bali, Shri Prakash Chand, Keisha Saudale and Wishnu in Ubud on Wednesday.
Both parties also discussed the prospect of advanced technology in the tourist villages of Bali. “We also hope that we could adopt technology to improve our tourism in villages such as Jatiluwih village for instance, as India has developed more advanced technology in that field,” Sandiaga said.
Meanwhile, the Indian Embassy, Shri Manoj Kumar Bharti who has been staying in Bali for 2 weeks is excited about the plan.
“I’m so amazed at Bali people, about their culture and lifestyle as the island is predominantly Hindu just like in India. And I think that would be an educational trip for most people from India to learn from Bali apart from its beautiful nature” Manoj concluded.
Manoj also hopes that Indian people will give a positive response to this program by visiting the island once the international travel corridor reopens in near future.(thebalisun)
