Jembrana, NetizenBali.com - A whale shark (Rhincodon typus) was stranded in Pekutatan beach, Jembrana-Bali on Sept. 29, 2020.

As reported by Tribunbali.com, the shark was stranded and overwhelmed officials and residents to return to the seas.

This afternoon, officials from the BKSDA Jembrana (Jembrana's Natural Resources Conservation Center​​​​​​) and residents together undertaking to return this mammal species to the seas. Based on further details by the local BKSDA team, the 6-meter whale shark is believed to weigh roughly 1.5 tons.

The Head of Pekutatan Police, Commissioner I Gusti Agung Sukasana said that officers and locals were evacuating the shark.

However, the evacuation process is still constrained by the weight of the sharks and the lack of equipment evacuation.

Sukasana admitted that the stranded whale was believed to have been hit by a spin of waves. When this statement was written, residents and several foreign tourists helped together to take care the shark's life to its place as its environment. [Net]
