Bali International Film Festival Hosting Career Day for Aspiring Film Makers
Denpasar, Baliterkini.com - The Bali International Film Festival has launched a series of Educational Road Shows in conjunction with a Career Expo organized by Prestasi Junior Indonesia.
BALINALE will exhibit and host a Talk Show on careers in film encompassing a range of related creative industries, such as: fashion, literature, music, technology, art and design. The Career Expo will feature over 30 top companies and is open without charge to the general public, with an estimated 600 students and young aspiring professionals expected to attend.
The Career Expo will be held at Nikki Hotel Denpasar on June 1 and 2, 2016.
As part of BALINALE’s continuing commitment to youth, they are hosting a Short Film Competition that uses mobile phonea as filmmaking tools. Technical advances in smart phone technology have made filmmaking available to millions with readily available point & shoot video and editing software.
Drawing on its 2016 running theme “No Boundaries” that espouses no limits to creativity or the means of expression - contestants are challenged to transcend all limits, borders, and expectations in order to create unique and inspiring pieces using their existing tools, experiences, and imagination.

BALINALE is celebrating its 10th anniversary from 24-30 September at CINEMAXX at Lippo Mall Kuta in Bali. The festival presents all genres of film: fiction, documentary, feature and short entertainments from Indonesia and around the world. Also forming part of the program is an Open Air Cinema set under the magical Bali night skies, Student Film Program and an annual Children’s Charity Event provided free of charge.
The BALINALE team is currently developing its 2016 festival program, which will build upon last year’s momentum and success that screened a record 105 films of mixed genres from 26 countries, and saw a general increase in film submissions, as well as, a notable expansion of Indonesian programming and film industry involvement.
