Something Fishy Going On

Gianyar, Baliterkini.com - Add a generous helping of Jamie Oliver’s favorite seafood superhero Bart Van Olphen, together in a mixture with Indonesia’s Ambonese Chef Bara Pattaridjawane and the end result will be a lunchtime event to be long remembered in Ubud, Bali on Friday, May 27, 2016.
The two photogenic TV chefs will engage in a culinary smack down on that date when Maluku meets Netherlands at the Casa Luna for lunch.
Bart van Olphen wants people to enjoy good fish, without wreaking havoc on the planet. Best mates with Jamie Oliver, Bart is the star of his YouTube hit, Bart’s Fish Tales, which has racked up hundreds of thousands of views. The series follows the passionate chef in his mission to cook fresh, sustainably sourced seafood, while also raising awareness of the challenges facing the fishing industry.
Chef Bara Pattaridjawane is a familiar face among Indonesian food lovers as host of The Nougat cooking show on Trans TV, and more recently as a judge on Junior Masterchef Indonesia. He has published many cookbooks and founded GulaGoela – a delivery service for homemade sweets.
Part of the Ubud Food Festival, the fun starts at 12 noon on Friday, May 27, 2016 at the Casa Luna on Ubud’s High Street.
Cost of participation is only Rp. 250,000 per person and advance reservations are essential to avoid disappointment. [BTcom/balidiscovery.com]
